Toy Story is about figures with a life of their own — and becomes a figure itself here. The doubling isn’t just cute: Woody, Buzz and the aliens are designed as objects rather than people, so they transfer onto the Bearbrick form more directly than most film licences do.

The strongly colour-coded characters work best. The green aliens and Buzz’s white-green-purple division read unambiguously at any size, including sizes where facial detail has long since stopped being legible.
